 Dear CHPC Family & Friends,

As beautiful as the snow is, we know its dangers.  The Session feels strongly that gathering for worship, while one of our highest priorities, in this emergency might place greater risks to our community.  With sadness, we cancel worship again this week.  We will be trying to call all of our regular worshipers to check-in over the next few days.  Do not hesitate to use your directory to call Alura Cain for the Deacons, Patti Fish for the Session, or your pastor if you need something before we can call you.

The Carty’s and others who can get around safety have offered to help those who need a pick up of groceries, prescriptions, etc.  I can do this by public transit for those in the area around the church as well.

The Session will be meeting as soon as is possible to finalize the material for our annual meeting, but we think it would be prudent to postpone until February 5 after worship the plans for our meeting & all church pot luck.  We will definitely not be able to hold the meeting on January 22 as previously planned.

Below I have included two appointments for your calendar, prayer requests for those who grieve, and an invitation to read a small section of scripture.  Were we gathering together we would also be singing!  I encourage you to sing something!!  We will also be posting a sing-a- long YouTube clip on our Facebook page for those who would like accompaniment and a chance to sing with others.

On behalf of the session, “The peace of Christ be with you!”

Rev. Linda Stewart-Kalen
